About Composition

Telmisartan-

Telmisartan belongs to angiotensin receptor blocker. It is used in the treatment of hypertension.
It reduces the pressure generated in the arteries

Amlodipine Besylate-

Amlodipine besylate have an antioxidant property which stimulate the production of nitric acid and acts as vasodilatory effect which lowers the blood pressure.

Hydrochlorothiazide-

It is thiazide diuretic and is commonly used in the treatment of oedema and hypertension.
It can be given in combination to treat heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis and chronic renal failure.

Mechanism of Action

Telmisartan inhibits the binding of angiotensin with AT1 receptors thus prevents its conversion to aldosterone and counterattack its vasoconstrictor action.
Amlodipine besylate binds to the calcium channels and blocks them and dilates the peripheral vessels an maintains cardiac muscles functions.
Hydrochlorothiazide inhibits the sodium chloride symporter in the distal convoluted tubule.
